In order to better define what is acceptable discussion on Pony Chat, the following rules have been established. All members of the UESF are expected to follow these, non-members that are guests within the Pony Chat channel shall abide by the following rules or be subject to expulsion from the channel.
1. No abusive behavior, trolling, or griefing permitted.
2. Language and content to be kept to a PG-13 equivalent standard and related European/Asian ratings as reference as defined by http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Motion_picture_rating_system
3. Failure to comply will be met with mute: Before applying mute, the offender must be warned twice (2) verbally that their behavior will be responded by a mute in official chat channels. The first Mute applied to the offender for a duration no longer than one (1) day from when the mute was applied. A second offense will again require two (2) verbal warnings and a mute applied for one (1) week. A third offense will again require two (2) verbal warnings with a mute applied for one (1) month. If the use of Mute fails to correct the behavior, then the use of more advanced discipline, up to and including Expulsion from Pony Chat, should be utilized.
4. Any conversations that violate these guidelines, arguments, heated exchanges, or controversial subjects are to be kept to private conversations when they disrupt existing chat or may be continued in the Equestria After Dark Channel without penalty.

The MLP Chat Migration
The above posted rules are applicable to "MLP Chat" as well - moderators, until the "Unmute" bug is fixed a "kick" instead of mute should be utilized.
A special thank you to Rattmann@athgaar for helping with the migration invites and mailings

Starting as of Season 4, "NO SPOILERS"
Due to popular demand for unspoiled episodes of MLP:FiM a 48 hour moratorium from discussing the content (a.k.a. "Spoilers") will be in affect upon release of a new Episode.
Anypony that participates in MLP Chat will be subject to a ban during the moratorium period in the event that they provide "spoilers" in the channel, to be lifted the following Monday when it is presumed that a majority of MLP Chat participants have seen the episode. No additional protection to MLP Chat users past the moratorium will be applied and standard rules are in effect.
To prevent confusion, "Spoilers" include details about plot, dialogue, scenes, characters of focus, or lead-ins to future episodes. False "Spoilers", including speculation, are included in this as well as it sets the impression that the episode may be spoiled.
Things not considered spoilers are "how it makes you feel" or whether you "liked or disliked" the episode, so long as none of the above defining components of a "Spoiler" are NOT given as a justification for one's opinion.
