I dunno the quantum torpedoes have a long cool down time. Maybe photons or trasphasics. The energy weapon procs don;t happen often enough to make much of a difference unless you use polarized tetryon beams...hmmm.

There is the one (Breen?) mission that gives as a reward option a Rapid Reload Transphasic torpedo launcher; if you ran it multiple times I suppose you could stock up on them and mount them all in one ship?

Okay I guess I'll leave some of my dark secrets here. But you're not getting all of them! Also please keep in mind this build was meant for a science ship, any one of the top tier ones should work with a little tweaking. In theory.

Edit: I should note that this build has limited use in PvP due to a recent "change" that was done to Starship Power Insulators and the sheer number of Borg deflectors out there.

I guess the biggest thing is getting weapons/skills that'll get through those shields so the torps can do their work on the hull, yeah?

The question on torpedo type boils down, I think, to whether the penetration percentage on transphasics is worth the damage tradeoff when putting them up against photons. I've yet to see transphasics deliver enough damage through the shields to justify what a photon can do to an unshielded hull vs what a transphasic does to an unshielded hull.
