...which game can we expand the UESF into?
Battlestar Galactica Online, Ace Online, Vendetta Online, Eve Online.
I don't recommend the last two though, they're not F2P

Re: Beyond STO
Two things, I think. Theoretically you only need one person to expand the group into there. Practically, if we have a small group who pick up the game with eachother, then we've already expanded.
And secondly, doesn't have to be strictly MMOs!
I'm interested in giving ACE a try, I play world of tanks, dota 2, starcraft 2 if anyone's interested in those!

Apologies. It appears that Program LSH143 is becoming self-aware.
Diagnostic Analysis of LSH143 in progress. Program will be contained in isolation during diagnostic.
We apologize for any confusion this may have caused.
That is all.

Re: Beyond STO
Minor detour: I think that having the idea of expanding the fleet into other games coming up already is fantastic. Y'all certainly are a motivated bunch. Now where did I put that box so I climb on it and give a Mass Effect 2-style speech about conquering all the games...

Forgot to mention I used to play World of Tanks. I think I am at tier 5 now. I also have Starcraft 2 but I rarely play it.

Oh yes, I've found this one program called Vassal. It's the framework that lets you play tabletop and boardgames online.
I've used it to play some Warhammer 40k with friends, and it works out pretty well! On Vassal's website there're plenty of other games that people have programmed in, as well.

If that can be made to run DnD or something similar then i have a humble suggestion

Yes! All of my yeses! How I miss my tabletop RPG days. The memories of Star Ware or Firefly on Friday nights and D&D or Zoids on Saturday afternoons.
Re: Beyond STO
Ahh yes It has been a while since I last played any tabletop roleplaying. I did manage to play in one game online with some friends over skype I can't remember what program we used but it was finicky as all getout.

BGO is a good start to expanding the fleet to other games!

I'll be taking a look at that myself later today. Anything to keep things within the fleet moving and fresh has my vote.
And I love the idea of a pony tabletop game and have heard it done with success over a couple of podcasts. Timing and setup would be, of course, of the utmost importance, but I think it's something worth looking into further if enough people show interest
Re: Beyond STO
BGO needs good cooperation and organization. It would be a good training for all of us.

Yes, there are two of them, that I know of, that have been run with great success:
The Savage World of MLP:FIM and the one that Toki already linked.
Re: Beyond STO
Quick question but......BGO
